The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has shown strong anger and serious worry regarding the kidnapping of six senior directors from the Federal Ministry of Defence, who were taken on Monday, November 10, 2025, on the Kaba-Lokoja highway while en route to Abuja for work-related tasks.
In a joint statement authored by the National President, Comrade Shehu Mohammed, and the Secretary-General, Comrade Joshua Apebo, the union referred to the event as a "shocking and discouraging assault" on public employees carrying out proper government duties.

"From now on, we stress that all such official activities must take place within the states to protect the lives of public service workers," the labor leaders stated.
The ASCSN praised the Ministry of Defence for its quick reaction and the mobilization of staff to find and save the kidnapped executives, encouraging the appropriate security organizations to increase their efforts and make sure those responsible are held accountable.

The kidnapping contributes to an increasing number of abductions aimed at government employees and experts throughout the nation, emphasizing the critical importance of enhanced security systems and more rigorous safety measures for public officials.
