Soludo's Wife Honors Anambra Girls as Top Trainees in ICT Program
Soludo specifically commended Vivian Ebisi, one of the state's attendees who was recognized as "Best Candidate for the South-East Zone" during the 2025 Women in ICT Training and Empowerment Programme conducted in Abuja.
In a press release issued on Friday, the Anambra state first lady, who is also the creator of the "HealthyLivingWithNonyeSoludo" initiative, expressed gratitude to Ebisi and other women for their outstanding accomplishments throughout the program's training period.
She mentioned that the program has provided the girls with an encouraging platform to learn and get ready for the future.
The initiative was supported by the National Information Technology Development Agency in partnership with the Renewed Hope Initiative, offering young Nigerian women an empowering platform to develop digital expertise and enhance their readiness for the future.
The text stated, “Today, during the closing ceremony of the 2025 Women in ICT Training and Empowerment Programme held in Abuja, Anambra once again took center stage.”
Our very own Vivian Ebisi, one of the eight remarkable women who participated in the training stage of the program on behalf of Anambra State, was awarded the title of Best Candidate from the South East Zone.
The remarkable chance given by the National Information Technology Development Agency together with the Renewed Hope Initiative has, undoubtedly, provided our girls with an encouraging platform to learn and get ready for the future ahead.
I am extremely proud of my daughters and the outstanding efforts they have put into this entire process. Particularly, I deeply value the First Lady of Nigeria and National Chairman of RHI, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, whose strategic collaboration with NITDA and dedication to the advancement and development of women and girls has made this remarkable opportunity possible.
PUNCH Online stated in October 2025 that Nonye Soludo praised the schools in the state for receiving nine awards at the 2025 President and Schools Excellence Award, which was part of events celebrating World Teachers’ Day.
The gathering at Eagle Square, Abuja, on Sunday featured Woliwo Primary School II, Onitsha, being recognized as the "Top School in Nigeria" and receiving the grand prize of a 16-seater bus.
Other recipients include Pinkberry International School in Odume Obosi, which was honored as the first runner-up and recognized as the top approved private primary school in Nigeria.
Emmanuel Ndibe from St. Theresa’s Secondary School in Enugwu Ukwu was named first runner-up for the best recognized private senior secondary school teacher in Nigeria, while Nkechi Ikedi of Pinkbery International Primary School in Odume Obosi received the first runner-up position for the best recognized private primary school teacher in the country.
Other schools include GSS Ojoto, which secured second place as the best public junior secondary school in Nigeria. Cosmas Nwata from Igbariam Farm Settlement Primary School was awarded second place as the best public primary school teacher in Nigeria.
Amaka Ubaka from Prince Memorial Secondary School in Onitsha secured the position of first runner-up, recognized as the best public senior secondary school administrator in Nigeria.
In response to the development, the Anambra State first lady commented in a press release issued on Monday, calling the awards "historic" and noting that the accomplishments reflect the results of investments made in the state's education system.
Soludo stated that the 2025 budget allocated 101 percent of its expenditures solely to the education sector, marking the highest financial commitment when considering the distribution among different sectors.
