Stark is collaborating with EVE Electric to incorporate the 26120 cell into its upcoming line of road-going motorcycles, marking another significant advancement for the rapidly expanding company.
I've had my fair share ofelectric motorcycles, but I've never experienced such enjoyment as I did on theStark EX. Two aspects that make Stark motorcycles stand out are their incredible power and torque, but this extreme performance also leads to a reduction in range. Therefore, Stark, always eager to stay ahead, is working to address the range issue before it becomes a larger concern for the brand's upcoming motorcycle line.
That's why Stark Future has entered into a strategic collaboration with EVE Energy, a leading global battery company, to introduce a new cell design into large-scale manufacturing, specifically developed for the upcoming generation of Stark motorcycles. Similar to many electric motorcycle producers, Stark previously utilized the standard 21700 battery cell format, originally created for automotive use. However, moving forward, it will be adopting a new 26120 cylindrical cell, which is specifically engineered for electric motorcycles.
The 26120 cylindrical cell is designed to utilize the motorcycle frame to enhance space efficiency, providing the perfect combination of high energy density, ultra-fast charging, and effective thermal management for motorcycle use.
To create the top motorcycles globally, we must not sacrifice the battery cell design by adopting substandard technology from the automotive sector," stated Anton Wass, CEO and Founder of Stark Future. "With this innovative structure, we are greatly enhancing capacity and decreasing weight, while substantially improving charging speed. This cell design will set a new standard for high-end electric two-wheeler performance.
We keep hearing about the next major advancement in electric motorcycle performance, but Stark mentioned that they have already tested this technology and observed the outcomes. By using prototypes at their R&D center near Barcelona, the team achieved a record-high energy density of 330 Wh/kg while still enabling ultra-fast charging within 10 minutes, indicating that the company is establishing a new standard for the EV industry, thanks to its collaboration with EVE Energy.
The new cell also includes an aluminum casing rather than a conventional steel one, offering improved heat transfer, quicker cooling, and less weight. This helps solve another issue commonly linked with electric vehicles: their weight. While Stark models aren't necessarily disadvantaged in terms of balance, if the brand can make them lighter and more efficient, it's a benefit on both fronts.

Stark is set to start planning for mass production of the 26120 cell in 2026. The company intends to incorporate this new design into its upcoming on-road motorcycle models, and this is likely a major reason for pushing forward with this innovation.
Stark's off-road vehicles are performing well against the limits of most riders' physical abilities, requiring a short break before they need to step off the bike. However, riders will likely spend a significant amount of time on paved roads before needing a rest.
