By Saturday afternoon, 13 of the 16 districts in Songkhla province had been recognized as areas affected by disaster.
Although there is extensive flooding in the surrounding areas, Hat Yai International Airport continues to function normally, with taxi services available to the Thai Watsadu intersection and Wing 56 offering shuttle assistance.
Travelers can park at no cost in specific zones, and various airlines are providing flexible modification options; for instance, Thai VietJet allows one free change within seven days. Those who are stuck overnight are allowed to rest inside the terminal upon registration with airport personnel.
The Thai State Railway has temporarily halted 10 train routes in the southern region due to rising water levels that have exceeded track heights in certain areas. Travelers who have booked tickets in advance are eligible for full refunds. (Story continues below)
On Saturday, Mayor Narongporn Na Phatthalung of Hat Yai stated that the total rainfall over the last three days amounted to 595 millimeters, with ongoing heavy precipitation in the U-tapao River Basin impacting smaller basins and canals. The city alerted inhabitants in 103 communities to relocate their possessions and get ready for potential displacement because of the intense flooding.

In Satun, the navy relocated inhabitants from multiple isolated villages in the La-ngu area, while six districts have been categorized as disaster zones. In Surat Thani, portions of the Chaiya district are still submerged, yet the economic zone has started to rebound as mountain water slowly flows into the ocean.
Meteorological information published on Saturday morning indicated exceptionally high rainfall in Pattani, Songkhla, and surrounding regions, with more than 440mm measured in certain locations - leading to extensive flooding of rivers and canals.
Authorities caution that while rain is decreasing, water flow from nearby mountains and overfilled canals will still present dangers for the next 24 to 48 hours.
