Ruto Challenges Critics to Offer Better Development Plans

President William Ruto has once more urged his opponents to share their plans for progress with the Kenyan people, instead of resorting to hate and division-driven politics.

The leader stated that Kenya should reject factional politics and concentrate on unity, harmony, and economic growth.

At the Gospel Embassy Chapel in Kisii County on Saturday, he mentioned that wise leaders communicate their goals and strategies to the public.

"There is an issue in this nation. Certain leaders lack foresight. And when there's no vision, people suffer. That's why we are urging those who are criticizing our transformation plan to present their own strategies if they are truly wise," President Ruto stated.

The President mentioned that certain leaders lack faith in Kenya, claiming they have been ridiculing the initiative to elevate Kenya from a third-world country to a first-world nation.

"I would like to ask those who do not support our transformation plan to step aside for those dedicated to the well-being of this great country," he remarked.

The leader demonstrated assurance that the innovative programs in health, education, energy, housing, and infrastructure, along with other areas, will elevate the nation from third-world to first-world status.

"I will make every effort to change this nation. Yes, it is achievable," President Ruto stated.

Regarding progress in Kisii, the President mentioned that Sh32 billion is being allocated for affordable housing, contemporary markets, and student dormitories within the county.

"None of the previous governments in the country's history have invested such significant resources into Kisii County for development purposes," he stated.

He warned contractors who are not meeting expectations on government projects, stating they need to finish their tasks within the agreed-upon timeframe.

Furthermore, President Ruto mentioned that the Kisii Agricultural Show offices will be relocated from the town to make room for the enlargement of Kisii Stadium.

Similarly, the President mentioned that Kisii Prison will be moved out of the town to make room for the construction of 10,000 affordable homes within the county.

Regarding the development of a cancer center in Kisii, President Ruto stated that the original contractor was removed due to delays in the project, and a new one has been selected and is currently working on-site.

"The authorities will not hesitate to end agreements with unproductive contractors. Construction projects must always be finished on schedule," he stated.

Regarding universal healthcare, the President praised the people of Kisii County for their strong participation in the Social Health Authority (SHA). He noted that 547,000 individuals had signed up, representing 45 percent of the total population.

"Each individual should enroll with SHA in order to access free primary healthcare services and health insurance, as he stated that health is not a privilege for a select few but a fundamental right for every Kenyan," he mentioned.

Additionally, the President mentioned that the government has allocated resources to provide electricity to 30,000 individuals.

The Education Cabinet Secretary, Migos Ogamba, reassured Kenyans that arrangements for a seamless shift from primary school to secondary school are finalized.

"I wish to reassure parents that the shift from Grade 9 to Grade 10 is progressing smoothly. There's no cause for concern," Mr. Ogamba stated.

Deputy Governor, along with MPs Zaheer Jhanda (Nyaribari Chache), Alfa Miruka (Bomachoge Chache), Sylvanus Osoro (South Mugirango), Japeth Nyakundi (Kitutu Chache North), and Donya Aburi (Kisii Women Rep) attended.

Also present at the event were MPs Jerusha Momanyi (Nyamira Women Representative), Steve Mogaka (West Mugirango), Joash Nyamoko (North Mugirango), and Essy Okenyuri (Nominated Senator)
