Celebrate the Moment

On the previous Thursday evening, Chopard once more won two awards at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) ceremony, which took place at the Batiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva.
This accomplishment strengthens its reputation as a winner in multiple areas, having won two awards on three separate occasions.
The Sports Watch and Ladies' Complication awards at GPHG 2025 were given to the Alpine Eagle 41 SL Cadence 8HF and Imperiale Four Seasons, highlighting Chopard's impressive range of skills, following their wins in the Jewellery Watch and Eco-innovation categories last year.
Frequently called the "Oscars of Watchmaking," the GPHG has served as a yearly tribute to outstanding craftsmanship in horology since 2001.
Chopard, a family-run company, achieved notable success in the 2017 event by winning the most esteemed Aiguille d'Or Grand Prix for the innovative L.U.C Full Strike minute repeater, along with the Jewellery Watch award for the Lotus Blanc.
The series of awards are attributed to the co-presidents of Chopard, siblings Karl-Friedrich and Caroline Scheufele.
Karl Scheufele III, their father, purchased the Swiss company in 1963, marking the beginning of a new and productive era.
Karl-Friedrich significantly enhanced the brand's watchmaking legacy, originating from 1860, by setting up two manufacturing sites in Fleurier. These facilities support the existing one at the headquarters in Meyrin, furthering Chopard's high-end horology.
He saw the Alpine Eagle 41 SL Cadence 8HF as a remarkable achievement in terms of lightweight design. The "SL" in its name refers to Super Light, which was accomplished by manufacturing the 41mm case, crown, bezel, and pin buckle from ceramic-coated titanium.
Created for application in aerospace and automotive industries, the highly durable metal offers an attractive anthracite grey finish that remains unchanged over time.
The dial made from titanium, along with the black or orange rubber strap, helps keep the weight minimal. Additionally, ceramic-coated titanium is utilized in crafting the mainplate and bridges of the high-frequency, chronometer-certified Chopard 01.14-C movement, which offers a 60-hour power reserve.
Microengineering also includes using monocrystalline silicon as a self-lubricating material for parts that experience significant friction. Its lightweight nature and tribological characteristics, along with Chopard's production technology, allowed the creation of an escapement designed for high frequencies without raising energy use.
A hallmark of its high-frequency timepieces, a vibrant arrow-shaped emblem in orange is placed on the lower part of the pitch-black dial, symbolizing the darkness of mountain nights, while the embossed pattern mirrors the eagle's eye.
"It's a timepiece I truly desired to create on my own, and I had always envisioned a sports watch like this," Karl-Friedrich said about the Alpine Eagle, introduced in 2019.
We developed the collection with the aim of supporting wildlife in the Alps, and the Alpine eagle serves as the emblem of the foundation that shares its name. Therefore, it's truly wonderful that all elements align perfectly.
He became his sister in accepting the Ladies' Complication award for the intriguing Imperiale Four Seasons. As artistic director, Caroline is responsible for designing Chopard's stunning creations, while Karl-Friedrich manages the internal development of mechanical movements.
A fusion of high jewelry and high watchmaking, the Imperiale Tourbillon Full Set once won Chopard the Jewelry and Artistic Crafts Watch award at the GPHG 2012.
The creative director envisioned the Imperiale Four Seasons as a new masterpiece featuring an innovative poetic twist.
Offering a substantial power reserve of 65 hours, the self-winding calibre L.U.C 96.31-C features the unique Four Seasons module, which monitors the shifting natural cycle through a rotating disc that makes a complete rotation in 365 days.
The bottom section of the dial displays a range of colors symbolizing spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Smartly aligned with the hour hand, the disc is a masterpiece, carefully made using painted textured mother-of-pearl inlay to create a changing scenery.
The top portion of the artistic dial is equally breathtaking, featuring a grand lotus — a recurring theme in the Imperiale collection. Ethical 18-carat white gold lace has been shaped into its refined outline, while satin-finished gold petals and polished lines produce a striking tactile contrast.
Featuring a distinctive lotus-shaped crown, the 36mm case also glows in ethically sourced 18-carat white gold. Chopard's expertise in gemsetting enhances the elegant timepiece with diamonds, including those on the lotus arc that sparkle above the striking rotating disc.
As it moves through each season, the interchangeable leather band remains in harmony with its color, available in orange, blue, green, or yellow.
The acclaimed Imperiale Four Seasons and Alpine Eagle 41 SL Cadence 8HF are both exclusive releases, with 25 and 250 units available respectively.
