The newly released SRK 921 bears a strong resemblance to the Brutale, and it's clear that QJ Motor isn't hesitant to leverage MV Agusta's technology.
QJ Motor has revealed the SRK 921 Roadster, the street-legal variant of theSRK 921 RR, and the first thing you'll observe is how similar it appears to aMV Agusta Brutale. The similarity is very obvious. That makes sense, as QJ and MV collaborated not too long ago, and this bicycle still retains much of that common heritage.
This time, QJ opted for a more angular and defined design, moving away from MV's softer, more shaped appearance.
That's truly the most notable feature of the 921. It doesn't resemble the typical Chinese naked bike. Instead, it looks like the Brutale from an alternate timeline. Whether or not that's a positive aspect is entirely your choice.
Regarding design, the tank vents resemble knives, the side panels feature more angular lines, and the back part appears very compact with the two elevated mufflers positioned beneath the divided seat. It's recognizable, yet somewhat more rugged, as if QJ took the previous MV designs and applied the "sharpen edges" function multiple times.
The hardware reflects the attitude. The SRK 921 features the same MV Agusta-based 921cc inline-four engine as the RR. It delivers 127.9 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and 93 pound-feet of torque at 8,000 rpm. Power is transmitted via a six-speed transmission with a bidirectional quickshifter. Additional features include ride-by-wire, three riding modes, traction control, cruise control, and launch control.
It's an impressive set of features for a large, unadorned device.
Most of the chassis and underlying structure remain unchanged. It features a steel trellis frame combined with an aluminum subframe, a single-sided swingarm, a fully adjustable 50mm Marzocchi inverted fork, and a Marzocchi shock that includes an external reservoir. Brembo Stylema calipers manage braking through dual 320 mm front discs and a 260 mm rear disc. Anti-lock braking is included as standard. The motorcycle is equipped with 17-inch wheels fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires, measuring 120/70 at the front and 190/55 at the rear.
Similar to most naked street bikes, the ergonomics are more relaxed compared to its sportbike counterpart. It features a wide handlebar with bar-end mirrors and a slightly more upright riding position. The bike weighs 217 kilograms when filled with fuel, equivalent to approximately 479 pounds. The seat height measures 835 mm, and the fuel tank holds 15 liters. It is equipped with full LED lighting, and the dashboard includes a 5-inch full-color TFT display that supports Bluetooth, navigation, and both USB A and USB C ports. These features are standard for current-day motorcycles.
The SRK 921 Roadster will come in red or black, with European shipments anticipated in March 2026. The price hasn't been announced yet, but, to be honest, the main point is how this bike appears and the source of its design. It clearly shows MV influence, but with QJ's own more aggressive touch. The real question now is whether riders around the world will be okay with a motorcycle that looks like a shadow realm Brutale wearing a QJ Motor logo.
