I'm Threatened for My Christian Genocide Claim — Rev Dachomo

A well-known religious leader from the Plateau region, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, has openly stated that assistants and supporters of President Bola Tinubu, based at the Presidential Villa, are making threats and warnings to suppress his activism about the reported "Christian genocide" in the state and the Middle Belt.

Reverend Dachomo, who holds the position of Regional Chairman for the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, disclosed this information in a video that has been widely shared online since Friday.

The vocal religious leader mentioned that for the past two months, since he started presenting evidence—such as videos of mass graves—to challenge the government's refusal to acknowledge the targeted killings of Christians, he has faced threats.

"They are threatening and cautioning me to cease revealing the actions of Tinubu's administration on the international stage regarding the continuous killings of Christians in Nigeria by militants. They claim they are monitoring my every action from Aso Rock," Rev. Dachomo mentioned in the video.

He remembered a particular event: “Someone from Aso Rock called me and said, ‘Reverend, stop revealing the government, your own government, your nation.’ He mentioned they are monitoring all my actions from Aso Rock. I responded, oh, so now I'm exposing my government while they are observing me on social media.”

Reverend Dachomo stated that his decision not to stay quiet stems from the government's "inaction," which he believes poses a real threat to Christians.

"Their silence is putting us at risk of being killed by refusing to halt the attacks from herdsmen. Are they not endangering us? Their silence is threatening Christians across Nigeria," he replied.

The religious leader continued by blaming the Nigerian government for not implementing firm measures, which he thinks has encouraged extremist organizations such as Boko Haram and ISWAP.

He criticized government officials who openly dispute the fact that Christians are being subjected to widespread, deliberate attacks, saying, "That is another form of asserting we are fabricating the truth."

Reverend Dachomo also responded to recent statements by Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, who had claimed that the mass graves in Christian areas of Plateau held empty coffins.

He insisted that the Chief Justice of Nigeria, the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Army Staff, the SSS of Nigeria, and the GOC be present at the burial site.

The son of the late Gumi, who once engaged in talks with terrorists, emerged and stated that all the bodies we buried are false. He asserted that we only interred empty coffins.

I have revealed his identity. He needs to face Interpol, even if he tries to hide in Saudi Arabia. I feel truly sorry for him. They will find him. He will be present at the International Criminal Court to give testimony. I want all relevant officials, including the Minister of Defense and the SSS of Nigeria, to be there.

All parties concerned are required to go to the gravesite to confirm the facts. They need to be present at the grave. I have ordered the young people from that village to protect the tomb, as it's likely that mercenaries will arrive at night soon to excavate the graves and take away any evidence.

The security staff stationed in that village should assist in protecting the village, the tomb, and the monument.

I also wish for the Chief Justice of Nigeria to be there. If they are committed to being genuine and accurate, they should attend. The Chief of Defence, the Chief of Army Staff, and the GOC must be present.

Let's excavate the grave and discover what lies within. Who is deceiving? Transforming my tears into insincerity? This is not an empty casket.

"The God of vengeance will battle on our behalf. Visit my Facebook, and you'll see me weeping at the tomb," Reverend Dachomo ended with emotional intensity.
